Messaging Customers

I have recently opened a second shop so I can divide my vintage in one and handmade in the other. I'm in the proccess of moving all of my handmade items to the new shop. My question: Is it considered spamming for me to send a message to my customers letting them know the bulk of my shop has been relocated?

I believe it is considered spam. You can put something in the shop announcement of the 'old' shop to let customers know about your new shop.
