Making a new shop under a shop section

Right, this is a thought I'm having, but first let me explain what I mean.
You know sometimes you get brands that specialise in, for example, accessories - a broad range, like scarves, jewellery, hats, bags, shoes, etc - but then they create a new line of stuff, very specific stuff, and give it a new name, something like "X, by Y" (X being the new line, Y being the original shop).

I wanted to make a new jewellery shop - quite different to the jewellery I currently sell, and more expensive, but still jewellery nonetheless. My boyfriend talked me out of it because he doesn't get much time with me as it is, and a new shop is a lot of work to promote and get off the ground. Instead, he suggested making a new shop section and putting it all in there instead.

Now, I was put off by this, because it doesn't seem neat. I like things to be tidy, and directing someone to an etsy page is difficult as it is, let alone a specific shop section.

I put some thought into it, however, and realised that if I bought a domain name, linked it to a portal page (which would have section-specific info like why I'm doing it and so on) and had a big "shop" image on that page link to the section - or cut out the middle man and have the domain name link straight to the section - then I can still direct people straight to that "shop" and even advertise in specific magazines much easier.

I am going to contact Etsy and make sure this is allowed - I'll be selling through Etsy, obviously, I'll just be listing new things in the same shop as a "NewLine by Peaches and Pebbles" sort of thing and giving that section specifically a domain name. The policies and delivery times and methods are all going to apply to both shops.

As long as it is allowed, I'm going ahead with it - but I wondered what other people thought.
By listing the products in this jewellery shop, I won't need to promote much more actively than I do now, because my shop gets plenty of views, as far as I'm concerned, as it is, and the quality of the products will be the same, highest possible standard all the way through. It's the concept and materials that are changing.

What do you think of this idea? There are downsides to not creating a new shop, such as the about page and stuff like that, but the positives, as far as I'm concerned, outweigh them, and I'd like to spend more time with my boyfriend than I do with Etsy. Is there anything you think I ought to keep in mind?
