Made it to 30!!!

I see people saying all the time that you need to reach at least 50 items to get some good sales and exposure. I have been struggling to keep my shop above 25, I finnally made it to 30 items, Now if I can get above that it will be great! How long did it take you to get to the coveted 50 or 100?? (Lord I can't even imagine making it to 100)
All of my items are very time consuming to make, Any tips on how to get there faster?

Congrats! I was stuck around 25 for a while too. Then stuck again at 50, but I did notice my sales start to go up when I reached 50, now I'm at 80 and stuck again :P I'll eventually make it to 100... I'm in my 4th month of selling on Etsy, 50 listings took me about 2.5 months I think.

Tips, work work work work.. that's all I have >.< Sorry. Don't try to rush it, items take time, in the meantime just promote your heart out. Hopefully promotion will lead to sales, which leads to money, and the ability to buy more product inventory, finally leading to more items :)

Congrats! I haven't hit 50 yet, so I don't have any advice, but 30 is an achievement, especially when you're selling quite a bit.

Thanks, I am tryng to figure out better way to promote, I have tried using the Etsy promoting features but I find them too expensive and it is not in my budget at the moment, I will keep plugging away at it :)

In my case, it took about three months to hit 50 items, now am about 65. Not sure if my sales went up after I hit 50, I am still having slow sales.

Still trying to hit 100 sometime this year.

I would like too, but haven't made it to 100 yet just because I am busy working also in the day. I have around 80 now, but it took awhile. Especially when a lot of thought goes into an item.

It didn't take me as long as I thought it would to hit 50 items (about 2 months), but my situation is a little different. When I make a new item, I get 2-3 separate listing from it (pattern, kit, and finished item). PLUS, I can renew sold on the patterns indefinitely without needing extra time to create, and my kits are the same way as long as I keep the materials stocked, so it's easy to keep my item numbers up.

I've been stuck at 35 for the longest time. The only way I can think to bump it up quickly is to have more made to order listings that aren't actually made yet! But I am hoping to be stocking at least some more soon!
