Lots of views but no sales... help!

I opened my Etsy shop a few months ago and since then I've gotten a good amount of views but only one sale so far. I keep adding new inventory thinking that would help but still nothing. I've tried to promote on Twitter and Facebook, take better pictures, and anything I can think of but still very little action. Any tips?

I am fairly new to Etsy, but in my short time I have discovered that going and favorite other people shops and join more circles!!! That is the key to exposure, so it seems....just spend a little time each day and try to favorite 5-10 shops and get in as many circles as you can...I think that helps. Other thoughts???

You want to put your most important title words first.

I would love to see your birds (love the little spring green bird) hanging on a christmas tree, decorating plants, or hanging on a car rear view mirror. Your sea urchins, mushroom and coral would look awesome in terrariums. So would your birds.

Some of your photos are a bit dark and do not show off the detail of your items. I would like to see your necklaces worn so it gives me an idea of what it will look like on my body. Same with the earrings and crocheted brooches.. Also your little crocheted animals would be a fun easter display or easter finds for children to discover in the grass. (my grandmas used to crochet and my mother now has the eggs and rabbits on display on her table, very cute)

Your tea lights are really cute but get more nautical with them. Show them in a nautical setting with others water stuff. You can look on HGTV and may find designers decorating with a nautical motif. I would also like to see them all light up in a row instead of the darker picture of them just sitting there. Also if I didn't read the description I would not have known they were tea lights. Tea lights needs to be first in the title. They also could be used as holders in the bathroom for people who have a nautical theme. You could show them holding things like earrings, hair bands and such.

The reason I brought up the christmas tree is that I love to go natural on my christmas tree and display nature. You have many items that could be put on a christmas tree. You could have a nautical christmas tree and a forest christmas tree decorations.

Well, I think your shop is great, and I don't know why you don't have sales yet.
I LOVE the Sea Urchin tea lights, but can't spend any money right now. I did favorite them for later though, because I think they would make a great gift (for me ;)

I'm pretty new to Etsy, and I'm a little confused about joining circles. I've read the admin description of them, but I'm still not sure what their purpose is...self-promotion, shopping help...for some reason, I'm just not getting it!

The best advice I've gotten is to take great pictures and edit them. Picasa is free from Google and great. And use all your tags.

The Shaman Shack, if you see this, I'd love a shop critique from you! So nice of you to take the time to share such great tips!

Probably a problem of exposure - a major problem on Etsy ! Your little birds are really cute. Social participation online is a big help.

I have the same problem with my shop. The most of views I ve got for one item is almost 300 but the item itself remains unsold.

Views doesn't necessary = sales... Having a great product that the customer wants, great pictures, positive feedback, repeat customers... It all takes time to get established here. I have been here almost 3 years and it is a lot of work even with an established shop.

Have you joined any teams? Promoting Treasury Teams are a great resource. Make some purchases of some items that you need for yourself to get more feedback! Good luck everyone.

Also, it is a lot about the look of your shop.. The Banner, is it professional? The pictures.. how do they look, etc. Read Read and Read more... everything is available here to see!

I really love your stuff! Especially the birds. Some of your photographs could be better. Many are orange so you can't tell what the real colors are. Simpler backgrounds would get you into more treasuries.

I don't have a sale yet either and I'm not sure why. Locally and on facebook my jewlery gets me 3-5 sales per week
