Losing Followers due to the activity feed?

I feel sad to be losing some of my follwers due to the new activity feed, is this happening to anyone else?

How do you know you're losing them because of the new activity feed?

Hmmmm. Not sure, I'm actually gaining them at a faster rate it seems. I've seen others complaining about it. I'm following more shops than ever, though! I love seeing the pics big and presented the way they are. That being said, I'm totally a Pinterest fan, and even like Wanelo - and can see how it would take some getting used to!

I read a discussion about people deleting all those they were following to clear the activity feed, as they found it to be overwhelming, and have noticed for the first time ever it going up and down.

I am gaining followers and am not bothered by the change. Actually, I don't relly look there very often, unless to check who and what was ♥ in my shop.
I've been selling here for almost 3 years and never really understood how this would help bring sales. The followers are usually other shops keeping an eye on you. :o)

The buyers come shop and leave, they don't come to make Tresuries, or follow shops. The activity feed is more for the Etsyans to bonds and see what's going on with other similar shops. At least this is my experince.

I just like seeing all the things other people favourite :o) it's interesting and shows you pieces you may not have seen otherwise.

I'm not botherest by the different format either, but then like Denise I use Wanelo and Pinterest so it's nothing new really. I do think deleting an entire following is a little dramatic though lol, and possibly harmful to your business in the long term? what do you reckon?

I really really dislike the new feed. I do not need to see gigantic pictures. It's annoying. Not that it's connected but my sales have halted. I had two great months and now zip! I have to think there must be a reason. I never go this long without a sale. ugh

I think I have lost one follower and I was wondering why, now it clicks! I too love pinterest and the new activity feed.

I'm sure it's happening, but I'm not going to dwell on it. I choose to stay positive, list new items, & create new fun things!

I do find that I do not read the activity feed as much as I use to. I like it becuase it seems more legible, but I really don't think I read it as often. Not sure why that is :-/

I haven't lost any followers and I haven't followed anyone else, but that's not because of the activity feed, it's because I've always been careful to keep my circle small.

I will say I'm enjoying the new feed. The point of the activity feed, to me, was always about pictures and seeing what people in your circle were favoriting. Why not make those exact pictures bigger so those items are more obvious? I find that having them so large shows them off to their best advantage and I'm much more inclined now to click on and perhaps favorite an item I see, whereas before they all tended to blend together.

I'm with you Vanessa I think the big pictures help sellers do what they are meant to do, sell! Doesn't matter if it's to other buyers or not, a sale is a sale :o)

I haven't lost any followers but I've gained 16 new shop favorites in the last 7 days, compared to 9 the previous week.

Me too. Initially I lost some but have had 44 shop favourites this week, so i'd say that the new activity feed definitely works :o)

I've gained and gained. I love the new format. I agree it is a great showcase for items. If you want yours seen you have favorite and look at others. That is just how it works.

I'm gaining and losing fans every day. It's a bummer to see it go down, but I like to think of it as weeding out people who aren't really followers! ;) I find myself skipping over the activity feed as well. I like that it separates my shop so I can see that activity easier, but I don't pay much attention to the rest anymore. Kinda makes me sad!
