Looking for constructive criticism

Hi team! I've been at this for a couple months now and I'd like some shop feedback. I'm slowly learning about SEO and improving my photography.

What are people's thoughts about the neutral cement background in many of my photos? I was having a very hard time getting decent pictures of my necklaces on white. It just looked off with the brightness. And the hats I obviously need to improve.

But any general feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance :)

Re: Looking for constructive criticism

I also did a first attempt at my About page that I wouldn't mind hearing some critique on either, thanks!

I love your plush letters. Another picture idea could be of a child holding one, or even chewing on one, since they appear very soft and safe. I'll let the jewelry shop owners give you advice on your jewelry shots :) Lots of lucy to you!

Re: Looking for constructive criticism

Thanks you! I did just today add a photo of my son playing with the set of plush numbers. I was hoping to see if I seemed to get better feedback that way but I'm glad to know you were thinking the same thing!

Re: Looking for constructive criticism

I like your about me page a lot, very cute and personal. I feel like it gives just the right amount of detail too.

I also feel like the concrete and wood backgrounds on your necklace listings are really strong too. But then again, I too am partial to nature backgrounds.

As for the hats I want to see them on a model! They look so cute but I just can't invasion how they might look on a head.

Hope I was able to help, good luck!

Yes! I love that picture. It also gives people a good sense of how big they are and what they are for. I think that if I was you, I'd try to get some really great closeup shots similar to that one to have as your first picture.

Re: Looking for constructive criticism

I (surprisingly) like the cement look in your necklaces backgrounds. Maybe because it's a different type of accessory. I'm usually a stickler for white backgrounds only, or at least a solid colour, but because your items are fabric and good for kids showing them in an outdoor setting works I think.

I agree with others about having your little guy munching down on a necklace or item would be good, really show people how safe they are! (and let's face it cute babies and animals make people feel warm and fuzzy and potentially more likely to purchase).

It's a very unique and interesting product. If I had a child I'm sure I'd be interested.

Re: Looking for constructive criticism

Hi! I think you've got some great stuff in your shop! (Teething necklaces---BRILLIANT!). Perhaps you'd consider having the same background for all items to make it look very "cohesive" at first glance? Personally, I would choose all solid white backgrounds for your items, but if they are all the same no matter what, I think that would create a strong first impression...just a thought!
Good luck!

Re: Looking for constructive criticism

Ok I agree with going for a more "cohesive" first glance. And I also love the cement background on your necklaces, so maybe your plush alphabet and numbers will look good on that same background??

I also love that there are models for the teething necklaces and think that is what your hats need as well.

I just LOVE your plush alphabet and numbers. So creative and have me wishing I had thought of it.

Hope this helps! Good luck :)
