Limit on follows?

When I'm following people who have liked my items on the teams I belong to, I get to 1080 & it won't let me go any farther. Is there any way to get this increased? When it happens, I have to go in & unfollow some of my follows & then continue with my project. Any advice?

Yes, 1080 is the limit for people you can follow.
(There is no limit to the amount of people that can follow YOU.)
I often go in to remove shops, to make room for new ones.

Thanks for the info. Sure wish they'd allow it to increase as the number of our followers increases.

There really isn't any point to following more than 1080 people since you would end up spending most of your day looking at their favourites in your feed.

Remember that the people who follow you only see what you have marked as favourites and never see your store at all.

Which makes it remarkable that I have 2,725 followers, since my favorites are set to private.

I use 'following' (I dislike that word) just like favoriting shops. I guess lots of people do.

1080 I find that really silly, isn't it all about networking? I seen one people had 77,000 followers!!

The idea of following is to see what other people are favoriting or making treasuries of; there is nothing else to it.

I used to set my favourites to private, but I think it is important to share your favourites with your followers in the new feed. What I don't get is the suggestions that Etsy decided I would like. I have never ordered tea, or even favorited it. but there are 6 brands of tea for the last 3 weeks in my feed. It says that it is based on my history.

I try to reciprocate when people follow me or fave something of mine. This way that's not a possibility. :-(

I've been following more and more people too since them homepage changed, more people means it's different every time I click it :) I'm kinda liking it to be honest.

I think it's ridiculous that there is a limit! We are all trying to build our business via networking. Why should Etsy care how many we are following? Too many rules!

I think that etsy should have it be more like Twitter. When a twitter user hits 2,000 following that it until they can get at least around 1800 followers

I only favorite items and shops I really do LOVE, and follow people if I enjoy their taste. I always find awesome stuff on my feed from both the Etsy suggestions and those I follow. I look back through my favorites occasionally, as they make me happy and I have my eye on a few items to buy. I'd rather have the quality in my feed than the quantity.
