Light box question

I have a new light box to use for my photos. We made it ourselves and we had everything needed around the house!

My question is: does anyone know if plant grow lights work better than household light bulbs? Or, what is your experience with light box lighting?

I still don't have the correct Photoshop on my computer, but hope to get it soon.

Hi Neon; I don't have experience with plant grow lights, however, when the light bulb that came with my purchased light box broke, I used a regular household lightbox, and it seems to work fine. My pictures are much better with the lightbox.

Just an idea. Go to a pet store and check out Full Spectrum flourescent tubes. These give off a wave length like the sun and are used in aquariums.

@NeonSunset I use a regular echo-friendly light bulb but might have to get an extra lamp, it is always good to use the lightbox with two instead of just one light

i agree with lemondear...2 lights are best. you can buy a natural light light bulb that is a high wattage...i like those.

I use my light box outside. The full sun vs. a cloudy day give a different effect and I like both. Plus I get some vitamin D. It's a win win!

Oh, and my light box is portable. Folds up like the window shades used in a car.
