Learning from Top Selling Experts

From my background as an educational psychologist, I know that all learners can improve by studying the methods of experts no matter what the field. How can I identify top sellers in my product area in order to study them? Specifically, when a seller says she is the "fourth largest seller of vintage jewelry on Etsy," how did she get that information? How do I learn skills like managing the re-activation of items so that they will be relisted as new items for the weekend? I feel as if I'll never know the Etsy "secret playbook" top sellers have constructed for themselves by virtue of their experience. Any suggestions for resources for this info?

That it interesting that you bring this up. It seems like it is mostly the new and hobby sellers that preruse the forum. I wonder how often those mega sellers visit.

Check out craftcount.com. There you'll find the top etsy sellers in each category and then you can add them to your circle and maybe see what teams they're active in (if they enable that in their profile).
