Large order - replace my label?

Hey all,
I've been asked to make 60 pouches for a business who wants to give them to their employees (the pouch is their company colors). I've agreed to a discount for the large order and they've responded favorably to my offer. However, now they ask that I replace my label with one that they'll furnish with their business logo on it.

What do you think? I'd love to take the large order. But, I'll be a bit disappointed to not have one of my labels on each of the pouches! I'm not too concerned about the possibility of resale -- It's a pouch that isn't proprietary in any way. But, I don't want to have no indication as to who made the pouch!

Can you do their logo front and center, and yours on the lower right/left on the back?

Ask them if there's some way to include your name in this - a hang tag on the pouch, a combo of their logo and yours on the tag somewhere.

I had someone ask me if I would make up a bunch of lotions for them to resell and use their name instead of mine on the jar labels. I was adamant about that not happening, so I flat out turned him down. But if you want to do the order, make sure you get SOMETHING out of this.

Could your label go on the inside and their logo be placed on the outside? When I see company logo t-shirts and the like, the company logo is on the outside, but the manufacturer tag is still on the inside.

I think including my label on the inside is a great idea! I would imagine that I could just do that without even discussing it with them. It seems like a very normal thing to have on a product. Like the t-shirt reference, or even something like a mug with a company logo. The mug manufacturer still has their info on the bottom.

Now I just hope they don't balk at the shipping to and from France! That's the next topic!

What a great order! I would include your tag on the inside...but if you have second thoughts, if I were you, I wouldn't feel that badly about just going with their tag only.
This could lead to other sales! Good luck :-)

I did a huge order one time for like 200 crayon rolls for a company. They sent me their labels to put inside. I decided on doing it because the style of the crayon roll they wanted I don't make for my shop, also it wasn't a pattern that I had created. So basically they had "hired" me to sew for them. That's how I looked at it.
It's up to you. But at the very least I would ask if you could put a hang tag/business card on your items for the employees to know where they came from.

I wouldn't make anything without my brand tag somewhere in the pouch. Without it I would be just a seamstress someone hired. I'm more than that and I would want credit for what I made.

It is your design. Put a tag inside without any conversation about it or (at least) ask to have a hanging removable tag outside the bag. You would be getting some credit and advertising with the removable tag.

I have had requests from customers looking for a discount on large orders, but since my margins are so low I could only offer 5%. They turned me down so I'm not sure if they really wanted my product. It's too bad, though, since only a few people sell these clasps at all, and most charge much more.
But I agree with some of the others that your tag should be on the inside. Congratulations on the order!
