LOTS of Views!!

I'm super excited!! Normal views in a day for me average 600, but I'm at 950 for the day right now. I'm hoping to break 1000!! I was trying to figure out where all the extras came from, but seems to just be normal traffic. A few sales out of the deal too! What a great day!! How about you, having a fabulous day?? Anything great to share??

Your shop is absolutely adorable! Maybe you were on the front page or your work was featured in a treasury??? If I don't get a message from the curator, sometimes it is weeks before I realize that my work was in a treasury, then I feel bad and quickly comment. My views have picked up so hopefully that continues...no sales though. Congratulations and continued success to your shop!!

I think there are a lot of us out there fiddling with the SEO and Tags etc and not getting a lot of views. I suspect lack of product is part of my problem, but I am sure there is more than just that. Doing the fb thing and I noticed that the incredibly supportive community here is visiting my page. So glad I joined!

A few tips I've picked up along the way - including back links in my listings to other products. This seems to move people around my shop a bit and allow them to find something they're looking for. For relevancy - first 3 words in title and description and in tags - seems to help. Also, I try to add a new item or two each day!! Lots of hard work ;) Thanks everyone!!

I've had five sales today, and have broken my revenue and sales stats monthly record, even though it's still only the 17th. Things here on Etsy are definitely looking up! I listed (or renewed with new photos, tags, and titles) 15 items today. That never seems to hurt.

I seem to average around 30 views a day, consistantly, unless I am really active in doing treasuries. 950 is fantastic! Best of luck to you!

Sorry to hear about such low views! I just added to both your views and hearts!

You both have great products and clear photos.

Oreldesign, the only thing I could think of is your titles may be too long for the keyword to be found. For example: "Handmade Swarovski Pearl Earrings - Wedding, Bridesmaids, Special Occasion", Might be found faster if you move Pearl Earrings to the front of your title description.

AshDazzle, A banner would help. A banner helps position your shop as a real business. Also Etsy recommends keeping like items grouped together in sections within your shop pages. So crochet with crochet, photos with photos.

But I think exposure is what you both need!

My shop has only been open a bit over a month. I have not dove into the world of social networking yet so I am only getting about 20 views a day. mmiller55 please share where your views are coming from.

Congrats on the high number of views!! thats awsome!! I have really low views all the time the most I think i have ever had was 23 views in a day but i only have 108 for the week so far...and have had no sales yet and been open 2 months :( maybe I'm not getting this SEO thing right?? not sure what the problem is really, maybe lack of items? Congrats to you again and keep up the hard work!

I am only a few months in and numbers like that would over load my brain to shear happiness! Currently, I only get a few views a day and about 40 so far for the month. I've got two items I still need to list but no buys this month. Sometimes it gets discouraging but my boyfriend is very upbeat, encourages me to keep going, and when all else fails, a swift kick in the but wakes me up from all the bologna.

I fear of putting too many items on there just to have their time expire. But from what I am reading, maybe I'm wrong and just need to throw that idea right out the window.

So, for advertising's sake what do I do? Does anyone know of some small town fairs so I can get my feet wet? Besides fairs I don't have alot of money cuz I opened a shop when I didn't have a job. So any advice y'all throw my way I could definitely use. And I mean any! Don't be shy, it can harsh, cuz if I'm gonna be sticking it out, it's what I need. :)

I have been told several times the more items you have the longer people will browse in your store thus the chances of a sale are better!

Love your artwork, your banner is really good to. Your own artwork for the background I take it. The words were a little hard to read, maybe you could add an outline to help them pop a little more.

Do you have a fb page yet? If so have you added the etsy app to it? You do need to have a fb fan page for that though. If you don't have one go ahead and get one! Let me know and I will visit and like it for you : )

Congrats mmiller on the views and being featured on the first page.
I range from 150-200 average views a day. I would consider that on the low to moderate side. I was featured in a newsletter last week and that got me over 800 views and 5 sales in one day.
I'd say just keep plugging along to those that need/want more views. Take the suggestions offered on this board to heart! The people here only want to help you succeed so dont ignore their advice!
