Kind of ridiculous photo problem I am having...

Recently bought a wonderful new camera for a a vacation I just had and thought it would have it would have the additional benefit of improving my photos. Wrong! This camera gives such fine detail that it is making my beads look terrible! I can see all these tiny bubbles & specks and color gradations that make them look a mess. They are things you never see, looking with the naked eye.

I've been playing all day - Macro, no macro, exposure settings, distance, tent, no tent. So frustrating! One of life's little unintended consequences.....Just has to vent. :P

If they're showing imperfections, move away from the beads a bit. Definitely no macro. You want in focus, but not microscopic detail, haha.

The pictures in your shop look great, btw.

It's likely because of the megapixels, change the quality of the photo and that might help.

I did try Macro on & off it and surprisingly, it made no difference. Backing off on the distance seemed to only mute my colors. Thanks for the kind words, tho :) Maybe I am just being too picky.

Paulette, that is the one thing I did not change...worth a try...thanks!
