I hadn't used etsy but I'm great at coming up with ideas. Together, we applied some business rules, specifically, supply and demand, and decided that his shop wasn't making enough because the demand for his product was low. My suggestion was then to find the top 5000 performing shops and see what they are doing. I wrote some software that gently nudged etsy for the info. The results were great! I decided that if it helped him, then it could help others. He paid me over 4000 dollars for the info, but the average consumer can't afford that. No, but I did recently come across google Adwords keyword tool - not sure if this is common knowledge but its new to me :-)

If they are asking you to pay for something, delete and move on. As Sam mentioned, Google has a keyword tool and it is free. All you have to do is type in a capcha word to prove you're a human ;)

Their link is strange. Very little info. Required to pay, but does not say how.

I think it is a help page, set up by etsy.com.
