Keep up Christmas?

Do you think it is a good idea to keep Christmas items up year round? My Christmas items are expiring about now and I don't know if I should go ahead and just relist again. Any thoughts? Have you sold Christmas items any time OTHER than Christmas?

Re: Keep up Christmas?

Totally curious about this! I have about 5 expired Christmas items and haven't renewed them yet!

Re: Keep up Christmas?

In my opinion, I would re-list it again. But of course this is coming from a girl who shops for Christmas decorations year-round, and who has a small "Christmas corner" in her room that stays up 24/7, so nope, I'm not biased or anything at all! ;]

Re: Keep up Christmas?

My shop is predominately Christmas and there isn't a day that goes by that "Christmas" isn't my top search word and there isn't a month that goes by where I don't sell at least one Christmas ornament. Blogs/Magazines etc all look for their features in months in advance to season (usally May and June) if that is something you're interested in. And bottom line... people can't see or buy your Christmas items if they aren't listed... 20 cents/per item for four months really is a small investment and you never know who might see your stuff. Best of luck to both of you : )

Re: Keep up Christmas?

Thanks, Christa! I'll try relisting a few and see what happens. Maybe I'll run a Christmas in July sale! =)

Re: Keep up Christmas?

I sell Christmas stockings sometimes during the year. I've sold a few so far and have a few people whose orders I couldn't do last year in time for Christmas who might want to order during the year.

I get hits on my Christmas items year-round, too.

Re: Keep up Christmas?

The more views and hearts your item gets, the better ranking it has in relevancy. So I think it's worth keeping it up just for the chance that it might get seen in the off season. I'm keeping mine up all year - especially since I had someone search for Christmas Ornaments today!

Re: Keep up Christmas?

I shop all year round for christmas, I agree that .20 cents for four months is not a huge investment for the chance for someone to buy it!

Re: Keep up Christmas?

I was going to keep mine up but decided to let them expire. I plan to relist them in July, then if they don't sell they'll be ready to relist again in October (just in time for the Christmas season). I sell cards and even though I still have some Christmas cards in my shop, I haven't gotten any hits for Christmas lately. I did sell some cards the day after Valentine's Day, but that's the last Christmas activity I've seen in my shop.

Re: Keep up Christmas?

I decided to keep mine up cause I don't have that many items listed yet and at least this way I have some more items in my shop. Interested to hear what others think.
