Just opened my Etsy shop this week. Would appreciate any advice!

Your items are beautiful. One suggestion that I have would be to rework your titles. For this item:

I would change the title to - "Gold or Silver Cuff Bracelet - Amazing Grace Quote". In your tags you have the same words listed twice (once capitalized and once not), you don't have to do this. You don't have to include handmade in the tags either, that's implied.

Natasha, yes, that helps greatly. Does changing the words with Gold or Silver Cuff Bracelet in the beginning of the title change things when people search?

how did you already get 20 sales! that's crazy. your shop looks good. I don't know how I am supposed to tell you what to improve when I only have 2 sales.
I have the same opinion about the titles. you could title this one cuff bracelet quote. tags it with the tags: cuff bracelet, quote bracelet, motivational cuff, gold plated cuff, silver plated cuff, quote jewelry, etc. these should be the words a customer would type in the search box if they were looking for something like that.

Jenni, that's exactly what I was looking for...the tag thing has me tripped up a little bit because I am not sure exactly how many words or which ones to use. but I really like your suggestions and will have to go back in and change mine accordingly. oh my god, your cuffs are divine!!! No wonder you get 20 sales in one week! I opened last September and managed 3 sales. Perhaps, it' should be you I will be asking tips from, or this thread will all our helpful fellows always ready to give love.

Your cuff bracelets are stunning!
When you have had a little time go by, check your "shop stats" and page down to see the key words that were used to find your listings... make sure you have the most frequestly used search words in your tags, then add what makes that particular bracelet stand out, i.e. Coldplay quote.
I think you will be very successful!
I like that you offer the cuffs in gold or silver tones - a big plus, since some
people are partial to one over another.

Welcome, its lots of work and a lot of fun! Make sure you have policies in place, good titles, tags, join a few teams etc. Network on social media sites too.

Now that you are understanding your tags, I would recommend tweaking your shop introduction on the home page. Make sure in the first 2 sentences you share interesting information (grab your reader) about you, your product, what you offer etc. In your 2nd sentence you are encouraging the visitor to leave your Etsy shop and head to Facebook. Most people who are on Etsy (or vice versa, on Facebook) want to stay there. So in otherwords, i feel this is a waste of space/words where you could really provide something compelling. Plus, it will help with SEO. Welcome!

Last question on Tagging, I promise! if someone types in cuff bracelet and my tags are cuff and then another tag says bracelet...would it be more beneficial to have both of those words together in my tags? does it have the same effect whether those words are together or separated? thanks in advance for anyone who can answer, etc.
