So I just went online to discover a customer ordered almost $500 worth of jewelry from me. F R E A K Y. How can this be? Is there any chance this could not be legit?
She just opened an Etsy account today so no prior sales. Paid with DC.
I'm happy for you! And, I understand your hesitation. I once got a request for a custom order - 11 hand-forged fine silver bracelets - at $100 each. I'm afraid the pessimist in me went to a worst-case-scenario, thinking it wasn't real. But, it was legit - and I was immensely grateful! To echo the others who've posted here, just insure the package. I'm sure it will be fine! ;-)
Exiting and wonderful for you! 2 important things: 1). Orders over $200. Need signature confirmation for insurance but let your customer know because it may mean a trip to the post office. 2) if its international ship it REGISTERED and check on restrictions to the country.

I have a story, where I once worked was an African Import Store. We had completed a new mailing catalogue and one of our first orders was $60,000 in merchandise (collectible masks and sculptures). Believe it or not, the woman had just gotten a huge settlement from her divorce and was on a shopping spree for her new villa! The order was legit! We actually had to have wood workers create crates to ship some of the larger items and it took 2 weeks to complete her shipment. In one day the shop grossed its annual sales!
