I am trying to figure out some new packaging, gearing up to Christmas markets and my first Christmas on Etsy! At the moment I am just buying wholesale jewellery boxes and sending that in an envelope. Which I think is really boring!
I want my packaging to be beautiful and pretty. I have had a logo etc designed so I have all that, I just don't really know where to go next.
I know some people use publisher or whatever to print their own labels etc, I have used various online companies for business cards and stickers (Moo.co.uk & zazzle) but I'm still not feeling it. I don't even have a printer so I wouldn't know where to start, can it print on card? Do I need it to print on card? Confused.
Packaging is such a personal thing I want mine to be funky and awesome, but I just don't know where to start! Should I start with a box and get that customised, or should I start with working out how I want it to fit together? A box, plus tissue paper, plus earring card inside, wrapped in tissue paper/wrapping paper/ribbon. And do that for each product. I have rings, earrings, bangles etc. So different sizes adds complexity.
It just seems like a daunting thing for me, :-( Are there any good tutorials out there that might help?
I have received such lovely packaging from other etsy sellers whenever I buy something that I realise mine really needs to be more about me and my product, not just a bog standard leatherette box.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
