Just had an item posted on Regretsy.

Sigh....I thought my pieces where innocuous enough, guess not.
In fairness its a crappy photo of an item I haven't had time to redo, as well as, my least favorite piece, but still wasn't expecting to be as bothered by it as I am.

"C'est la vie" right.

Anyone else had this happen?

do you sell to those Furry people?

They hold their convention in Pittsburgh every year. At first they were mocked. Now restaurants and hotels are fighting over them.

I have no plans to argue or post on the site. In the long run over 100 (so far) more people visited my shop today already because of it, so it may be a good thing.

Call it a turd or a sausage patty all you want, just not a fan of the fat ass comments. But I can't change it so I'll take the publicity.

@Alex I definitely sell to the furries, some of my best/fav customers!

It happened to me too !
I was really sad for weeks, then it turned out that it was a chance.
I know it's difficult, but please DON'T READ THE COMMENTS... Just take the advertising function ^^, as they took what they needed to publish your picture...

I had about 30 min of being upset, its been a tough day (week, month, year) so I wasn't excited about something I put a lot of work into being made fun of. But I over it now, and to be honest I get it. Hopefully get lots more views and sales from it and I'll be sure to improve my photos lol (planned on doing for awhile just haven't had the time).

I think it's hilarious! You are familiar with the saying about 'opinion', yes? I think it would be hard not to take it personally, but try to stay positive. Enjoy the exposure. I LOVE that the link is in it's original form, which draws new potential buyers to your shop. Who cares if someone doesn't like THAT particular item - your shop ROCKS!

I've read severalllll threads of shops being on regretsy AND selling that particular item or other items from your shop. I have a fat behind, my hubby likes fat behinds and yours is not fat! So don't worry about it! Take it in good stride and I PROMISE you, that you WILL benefit from this :) love your shop, btw.

I popped over there, too. It's not too bad at all. I know it's hard not to take it personally and frankly, I'd be hurt if I read the comments, but regretsy was just making a little joke. That's their job and people eat it up. From what I've seen, if you're a good sport about it, people are actually inclined to support your shop. :) If it were me, I'd make a bra that looked like fried eggs and send it over to regretsy telling them you made it for them since they liked your sausage patty. hehe

I had an item there because they thought I was so bad at spelning that i'd made earrings that said "fcck you" i got trafick from there almoust an year even though my earrings was only one outh of then items in a photogallery. It's great exposure, but can be quite hurtful especially if you read the comments

Hi All! Thanks for the responses. keep them coming! So far all the comments aren't too bad and yeah I totally see the whole sausage patty thing lol. I'm taking it as a lovely reminder to make time to get new pics done! As for the fat ass comment it looks like it was down voted ....I do in fact have a large ass, but I'm also about 6' tall and it's one of my favorite body parts (lol) so oh well. I am enjoying the added traffic and sales!!

I'm not sure if it is smart to comment on the site, anyone have any opinions or experience?

I not sure if going on there to say, yeah I totally see it, am going to have to make an egg bra to go with it (thanks Christiana for the great idea) is just inviting personal attacks. Though I wouldn't mind clearing up that there is no photoshop involved, the pic was done so long ago I lost the original and took a screen shot of it from a wallpaper I made of my pics and it got part of the of pic above it.
Also if you buy the bear tail you can feel free to wear it however you like, front, back, on the head, accessories with a button or flowers.... I don't care, but I do want a picture!!! =D My recommendation it to add a bun and lettuce and wear it as a burger beret!

I got a few hits from Regretsy's Facebook page the first week I opened. In one of my typography designs I left out the 'p' in 'inspiring' (in the actual design, not the title). Oops.
