Items shipped via PayPal still showing as "not shipped" on Etsy Sold Orders

A few of the items I've sold and had shipped through paypal are showing up in my Etsy sold orders as not shipped yet. It was my error in not marking them as shipped on Etsy when I actually shipped them.

So my question is this: Is there a way to mark them as shipped without having the buyer notified? I'm not seeing another option other than the 'marked as shipped' button which will also alert the buyer. I would think that would cause confusion all around. Hey.....thank you for any advice!

My understanding is you have to mark as ship and the buyer is notified. I'd just let the buyer know that the package actually shipped on (date) and that this a late notification. I don't think it's a big deal, the important thing is the package is on its way! :)
