Is your Facebook page linked to your personal Facebook?

Currently, I have mine linked to my personal Facebook and am just an admin on my JustJurf page. Do you think it's better to separate them? I want to link my login on Instagram and Pinterest to my page, does it link with my personal or business?

My FB account is in my name, and my FB biz page is just that ... a page. A page is not an account.

Tana, I take it then that you have only a business FB page?

I have a Personal FB page and “Business Page" that is linked to my Personal FB page. It was possible to do them separate, however at the time someone said it was better to have them connected. I can’t recall why right now…. :)

My observation regarding being linked to my personal FB page: I cannot "like" something from Etsy as my Business Page, it goes to my personal page. Which I try not to inundate with my "Business" likes.

I'm curious as to what others have to say with regard to being linked together or not.

It is easier to have the connected because you don't have to log out of one just to log into the other. Also, if you have on your personal FB page that you work at "the name of your shop" and are the owner, people that are looking at your about page could be curious enough to check out the page of that business page. This could also lead to views to your shop, and views lead to sales.

I have mine connected to my personal page. I really do find it useful that they are connected. Its one less password I have to remember and I don't have to constantly log in and out of them constantly.

Here are some reasons why I think it's better to have a personal profile associated with your business page (instead of creating a separate business account):

A business account:
- Can’t like other pages on FB
- Will not be found in search
- Will not get updates in news feed
- Cannot view the profiles of fans
- Cannot invite friends from a personal profile

All of these are possible with a business page that is linked to your personal profile.

I made my personal fb account first and then made my business a page of that account for the reasons already listed above. With careful nurturing my business page is showing solid, organic growth.

At one time I had an app that thoroughly linked it to my etsy shop. Now what I have is a flag that simply seems to take people to Etsy without taking them to my shop. This is a change I am not thrilled about.

Does anyone know how to link My shop itself to my business fb page?

I had my personal account years before i had my business account. I liked my business account with my personal account. It helps because my family and friends can see what I am doing in my business. When my family and friends like something that I have made or said on my page that has to do with my etsy store their friends and family will see it too. That drives more people into my etsy store.

I have all my other social media platforms linked to each other so that when i post on one it will show up on all the other platforms.

I like having my business page separate from my personal page. I have another business page attached to my personal page and with that one I feel so much more limited in what I can do with it. The separate page i feel i have more freedom to add things and add apps and make it the way I want it.

For instagram and pinterest you can link them to your buisness page maybe your personal page using the apps available on the facebook app store.
