Is there such a thing as too many items in a shop????

I'm going be at almost 200 items by this weekend. WOO HOOooooo and thanks to all that helped me in the shop critique. The fixes boosted sales almost immediately!

Now does having too many items become confusing or is best to remain in a certain number of listings? Or doesn't it matter?

Your shop is really nice!

The only time I feel there's such a thing as too many items is when I'm shopping for supplies. I've come across some shops that have pages and pages (and pages!) of beads and it takes too long to look at everything.

Yeah I have noticed that too. I don't want to add some much it's too difficult to look at. I wonder how much is too much?

I think it's only a problem if you have that many items and aren't using your categories/sections well. It is very frustrating as a shopper to visit a store with 200 items and find that 198 of them are listed the same category!

@ Chasa I have about 1000 things I made over the last 2 years. I sold at the local famers market so I have a lot of items. It's taken about 2 months of listing, photos and editing. But if I didn't have children I could list and photo it all in a few weeks ahaha. But I try and reuse titles so it moves faster.

@ Michelle I agree!! I'm trying to use my categories well but I'm still working on that part. I just learned how to make my titles better and that helped really fast as far as views and sales went. It's a long road and I hate the listing part.

I'm almost to 300 (!) but I feel that I have categorized everything pretty well (my sections), so hopefully that helps!

I think as long as it is well organized it doesn't matter. My shop has just over a hundred, but I really need to work on my organization.
