Is there any point to relist to get higher in search results?

I thought if you renew you bump yourself to the top of some list. My main product, as you can see on my icon, is a peapod toy. When I search "peapod toy" there is one page of results, and some of the listings ahead of me haven't been renewed in awhile, while I relisted yesterday and today. So what's the point?!

Actually, I just got the answer on another thread. I understand, results are based on relevancy and not recency.

I think recency only helps you in regards to "Activity" feeds.

Yes, I have been trying to figure that out, too.

I'm not sure what 'list' you want to bump yourself to the top of.

The key to being found in any search is to have titles that use words and phrases that a buyer will search for.

Recency doesn't even help you in activity feeds. Your activity feed shows you the items that people you follow have marked as a favourite.
