blank feedback? I just received my third blank feedback. What does that mean? They are all positive, but nothing was 'said'. Do you do this? In what situation does someone not say anything?

And while I'm on the subject I get the nicest convos and emails with the greatest comments, but very few people actually leave feedback. I stepped up once and mentioned how much I appreciate the remarks and wonder if the next moment she had if she could leave feedback in my shop. Nothing. I seem to notice most shops tend to run about 50% of their sales in feedbacks.

I've gotten quite a few blank feedbacks. I figure they want to leave positive feedback, but just don't have the time or aren't sure what to type. No worries. :-)

I have less than 50% that leave feedback, but most of my customers are brides buying banners for their wedding. I know they are busy - some customers have left feedback MONTHS after their purchases. I'm just grateful that they are happy with their purchase and clicked the 'positive' button, even if they don't write a little note with it.

About 50% is normal. And as long as it's positive, I don't worry about it if they don't say anything.

I had a sale recently and it asked ME for the feedback and I never heard anything from the buyer. I didn't provide any feedback and not sure what happened.

I leave feed back for all of my buyers. It's just a thank you, because nobody sees their feedback except for them.

I think some people just buy so much stuff that when they get a pile of feedback backing up they just put that it was a good experience and that's all. I mean when you go to the mall and buy something, don't you usually just say thank you to the clerk?

ive only had 3 or 4 out of 24 sales leave feedback at all :/
the rest of my score is from buying.

i leave a note when i purchase items but as a seller i tend to leave blank feedback. what is there to say? the person purchases an item and pays for it up front and then the system says leave feedback right away.

i don't worry about it if someone doesn't leave a message. it's nice but the positive feedback itself is good enough.

I sometimes just click Positive and submit w/out leaving a comment.
I don't think it means anything.
Sometimes I just don't have anything to write.

I leave blank feedback all the time and click positive-especially if I buy a bunch of items from someone. I buy lots of supplies. I write how awesome things are, too. I would just take any positive feedback as bonus happiness to selling.

I've left a couple of blank feedbacks with buyers when I've not known what to write. Sellers who leave feedback in bulk and have quite a lot to go through could be doing this too.

Most of my buyers have left feedback but I know not everyone does, around 50% is the right number although sometimes its even less.

I always leave some sort of feedback, even if it's just a "thanks again!". But I would imagine some people are just pressed for time, or a bit lazy...

I have noticed that etsy doesn't remind you to leave feedback other than when you actually sign in. When I have purchased an item I don't want to leave feedback until I have received the item. I tend to forget to leave feedback because I don't sign out everytime I leave Etsy. Every couple of weeks I end up having to sign back in and see that I need to leave feedback for things that I have forgotten all about. And sometimes I do leave it blank because I am in a hurry, but no other reason.

If I Purchase More then one item from Someone, I leave a Positive and Message on the First item, then just Positives For the rest :D

I did this by accident! There was no way I could figure out to go back and edit, so I ended up sending a convo to the seller, that I was very happy with the item and didn't put that in the feedback before I clicked on "publish." I wish I could have gone back because I was more than satisfied!

Blank feedback used to really upset me since I always leave feedback for everyone and I take time with it. But, many people just want to shop and go.
At least they left something. I hate when someone buys a really intricate piece and leaves nothing or leaves nothing and writes a beautiful personal note. I treasure the note and print it out and keep it in my special file, but sadly, no one else sees it. I figure, maybe they are private people. And, that is why…

I tell myself time is short; they want to shop and go.

I lot of people, especially if they are only buyers, dont know about feedback at all! I think this is the main reason for the 50% ratio.

I leave positive but blank if there wasnt anything special about the order as a seller. As a buyer I usually try to find SOMETHING but sometimes I am in a hurry and if I dont do it then, I may forget when I come back.

Of course, when a seller goes above and beyond like the OP did for me (I am such a ditz sometimes) I make sure everyone knows it. I wouldnt take it personally though if the comments were blank.

I've always assumed the buyer who just checks the Positive circle and doesn't leave a message in Feedback was satisfied customer, and simply didn't feel any need to go into specific detail as to why. They're satisfied, period. That's fine. Some people don't know how to go about leaving feedback for you, and maybe they are embarrassed to ask you how.

Two things: People get busy and don't take the time to make comments OR they were just satisfied with your product but not bowled-over.

Also, I am a buyer and well as a seller on etsy, and I tend not to leave feedback for sellers when I was not totally pleased because I do not like to leave negatives, knowing how hard everyone works.
