Is recency still a factor for jewelry and other saturated categories?

I'm finding that since the change to relevancy, my traffic still goes up (3 times the usual views) if I'm regularly posting new items or renewing. If I don't, the traffic is way down. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Absolutely! I attribute it to the "new items from your favorite shops" part of the activity feed. I'll see something that catches my eye from one of the shops I'm fond of and go in and explore what else they've got that's new, or that I haven't seen yet. I can't afford to relist every day but I'm thinking of relisting older items if I don't have anything new that day. As a bonus it's a chance to take a second look at tags, titles and descriptions and see if they can be improved.

Carol, good point. That area catches my eye too.

listing and renewing still makes a huge difference in my case. although i have to admit that i don't really notice those newly listed items in my favorite shops...

frankly, i have most views when i'm active in a treasury promoting group. but that doesn't necessarily attract sales - i guess that it mostly attract views from other sellers and my buyers are non-selers. not that i have a result for serious statistics ;)
