Is it worth to promote my Valentines day item on teams that say "Post you Valentines day items." Or anything along the lines of that.

Yes definitely! You never know who might see your item and fall in love with it. Post on any board you can to get as much coverage as you can and to get your items as many views as possible.

Sometimes they're going to make treasuries out of the valentines items, and then that makes ever more exposure for you!

Thank you guys. The teams have brought in more views today then search has. Between search and teams there is like 2 views difference.

If you have the time, go for it. But, if you have limited time, posting on those teams should be considered low priority.

The majority of my sales are to buyer accounts. Like Mallory says, I place a very low priority on posting on promotional teams. They bring extra views but those views have never turned into sales.

I'd concentrate more on constantly tweaking for SEO and promoting to your market.

I did these promotions when I first started out, and they did help a little- I never made any sales, but the more views you can generate, even if teyhy are from teams, the better your 'relevency'- so as long as your SEO is good, get involved in a few teams every so often to boost views!
