Is it ME or is REALLLLLY slow now..

Yesterday should have been a huge day for my shop. I have joined several new circles and teams, I had a showcase, Had 445 shop views and 22 new favorites and listed 4 new items, but not one sale. In fact the past month I have had record views and favorites but few sales. Is it me or is it just very slow? Is there something I am not doing?

It's been SUPER slow. I have been averaging 10-16 sales a week. Last week I am luck if I get 4 people ordering. Thanksfully they have been ordering more than one item but still all my stats have dropped

We can only do what we can do and leave the rest to fate. I read yesterday we could be entering a double dip recession, which means even less sales for everyone. I hope not. You have good pics and prices.

From what I hear and read elsewhere, it has been slow for everyone. People are probably more focused on summer activities and back to school stuff right about now.
Let's hope fall and winter will be much busier for all of us! :)

I'm finding it slow too. My main sellers are winter handknits so I've been adding summer lace gloves and long beaded crochet necklaces, which have sold a little but no more.
I need to hand-dye some more yarn to add to my stock but am just recovering from an op to remove my appendix so that has to wait a little longer!

Unfortunately, it has always been slow for me. I would be thrilled to get all of those shop views. Of course, that doesn't pay the bills! Hang in there, times are tough for everyone right now.

I'm so glad it's just not my shop, though I'm sad that any of us are going through a "slow" time. :(

Hopefully, it'll pick up... all we can do is cross our fingers and hope.

I think with all the summer activities there may be a slight lull on online shopping. Your shop is great, so just hang in there and it'll turn around.

Crossing my fingers I just chose a really bad time to open my shop, and things will improve eventually.

Slow for me as well but I remember last summer was like this too and then all of a sudden the Christmas rush kicked in. Hand in there everyone.... :^)

My sales have been very slow but my views and hearts are way up! Maybe people are "window shopping" because they have no money? I'm certainly guilty of that...

i dont know, at the moment i feel raising my hand a little to say my sales arent slow makes me a jerk but they arent, i think it depends on your market. i know that everyone seems to be getting married in august so wedding items (at least from my perspective) are booming. im not trying to brag, just saying i wouldnt necessarily place all the blame on the time of year or the recession. although personally im not a fan of all this warm weather ;)

I crochet so have found it really slow on Etsy...have had more response from facebook!

I am working on fall/winter hats and scarves etc, but listed some dishcloths and face scrubbies today....and have brought back a good seller...my crochet cupcakes!

It will pick up once kids are back to school. I myself have been away alot already and will be away some more in Aug as we have a cottage on a lake!

I've had a total lull in sales since i started about a year ago... like none - tons of views, hearts, compliments, but no sales... last week i actually got a few sales, and the 65 ppl who hearted this bracelet http://www.etsy.com/listing/66619835/rainbow-reflections-wire-wrapped finally seemed to remember all at once... so i'm proud to be nearly out of stock:)

but in general i've been VERY slow, with the occasional artificial high. i think in general we're all in this together.

Yupp... reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally slow for some of us who have fallen into the black hole here and become invisible to buyers.

My sales were thru the roof earlier this year right up thru May, and in June they flat lined... which was before they mucked with the views, so since I doubt the bots were buying, something else is happening here.

We can only do so much to improve SEO by tweaking our titles, tags, photos, descriptions, backlinks... but there are some things we have no control over, and if the search doesn't find us, we're screwed...
