I've taken all the seller education about social media to heart and I've started an Instagram campaign. i think it would be really helpful to see how other sellers are doing this and get feedback. So you can find me at https://www.instagram.com/artisanbuttons/
Please tell me what you think and share the links to your Instagram accounts. Thanks
Your work is lovely! I'm following you now. Your photos are all from the same angle. Im not sure if that's good or bad. I've tried to vary the scale of things in my photos.
Thanks. Yea, it's not good. But I'm more on listings photos, than in Instagram. Later I'll try something else or new. But now I'm busy with other stuff out of Etsy.
You should try more tags. Also like handmade, etsyseller...
I didn't even know that I could use my laptop to access my Instagram account. I just started not long ago and I am still trying to figure out how it work... Now I know mine is:
I love using instagram for my business. I feel that the opportunity is higher with connecting with a similar small business to collaborate is there on instagram. People are constantly on it. If you use the right kind of hashtags you'll get tons of traffic, new followers and possibly a collaboration. You can also message through instagram so you can reach out to any small shops. I really love it and feel that it has helped my business.
I love using Instagram! It can be slow, but I find that it is genuine because you cant really pay to promote your own post. I am at Instagram.com/thespaceneedlecrochet . Ill check you guys out!
I've been on Instagram for a while just using it socially because I'm a photographer at heart, but I just recently started up my business and integrating that into my Instagram. I always unfollowed people who ONLY posted about their business so I'm trying not too be overwhelming with it. I'd suggest that you who haven't, add some personal photos as well. The magic of using social media is that people get a sense of who you are and want to buy from YOU.
I'm following all of you. I agree that it's not a good idea to push our products all the time. It's much more interesting to see behind the scenes and current events. Lots to learn here.
I've been on Instagram for nearly 2 years now and have graually grown to love it! I have only just started to use it to promote my etsy shop, at first with a link to it in my profile and now with posts. As some have said before I think it is good to mix it up with some personal stuff and not just post business related pics and I know I'm not alone in avoiding those who do. Good luck with it, your account so far is lovely. I'm at www.instagram.com/thedivinepeach
I've been using IG for about a year and a half and really like it. It drives shoppers to Etsy but I'd like to turn more of them into buyers. I like being able to engage with so many different types of people, different artists.
I use lots of hashtags and the really helps get noticed. I am trying to be more interactive and comment on other IG posts and not just like them, hoping that will build relationships.
Love your buttons! I am now following you as well. I would add the woods/fibers that are used in the posted photo as tags as well. And add a ton more photos. I am just now discovering that the more you post, IG will suggest your shop to others. You can find me here: https://www.instagram.com/delaneyjewelry/ Still learning as well. It's a slow process, as we are all spread too thin when it comes to Social Marketing.
I mix my pet bunny pictures with the jewelry bits, and recently have been using the shop update pictures along with the product pictures. Tags work really well for views, it's been a lot of fun :)
