Increasing sales with Instagram?

Do you use Instagram to promote your products? Did it work to increase your sales? I know that the etsy statistics show the number of visitors which came from facebook and pinterest. But I am not sure if you can see the views from Instagram?
I hope you can give me some advice to get more views and sales.

I am on instagram I dont think etsy gives you a count for people coming through etsy I know of only one sale that came through etsy as the the customer asked me on instagram and I directed them to my Etsy store. Other then that one sale I couldn't be sure if i have had any more.
However views have increased again not sure whether that is Instgram related

Yes, I'm on Instagram and have generated a few sales from it. One was from something I posted, but the rest were from a feature post by other Instagrammers (hmmm...Instagramers or grammers?).

I think I posted this in another thread, but madefreshly.com has a great tutorial on how to use Instagram for marketing.

Oh, and I'm not sure how or if Instagram traffic shows in our Stats either. I thought I saw something that was Instagram a few times, but not really sure.

I've only just started out again selling, and am posting pictures of my listings on Instagram. Yet to see any fruition from it.

Instagram hits show up as Direct hits since people are clicking on the link from your IG profile. The only way I can tell that people are coming from IG is by seeing a spike in the views on the item(s) that I posted on IG that day, but it's still kind of a guessing game.

one of the things you could do is to use url shortener as for instance bit.ly. At least what you will see is how many people do click your IG profile url.

I recently lost my original Instagram account and had to recreate it.
I noticed a decline immediately in views and a bit in sales due to losing the following I had built. I was sitting at about 1000 followers and have managed to build it back up to almost 500.

If you use it correctly, it can generate lots of views which, for me personally, has turned into many sales and new/repeat customers.
Its fun, easy, and FREE, so I say use it all you can! Flash sales are one of my favorite ways to get multiple sales in one day & gain new customers. And don't forget the hashtags to get found! :)

It might not be a surefire way to get sales, but increasing visibility is always a good thing.
