Inclusion in Treasuries

Just wondering, what is the proper protocol for being included in treasuries? Do we wait for a treasury's creator to contact us, or can we approach them by way of a convo? Not sure what's considered good manners in these cases. Thanks...

Not all treasury creators will contact you directly. I usually just see that something of mine had been added to a treasury by way of the activity notification on my dashboard. To me, going to the treasury and commenting with a "thank you" and a nice thing to say about the treasury is enough. I don't think I've ever contacted the creator of a treasury directly unless he/she has contacted me first. Some people just make treasuries for their own entertainment/enjoyment and to contact them directly (to me) would be like contacting someone who favorites my item. Not something I typically do.

Thanks, I meant to ask whether it's OK to ask to be included in a treasury you like. Or is that bad manners, like inviting yourself to a birthday party? 8-)

I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking. When someone wants to make a treasury, they will find and include the items they want. There's a limit to how many items can be featured in any given treasury so it's not as if you can contact someone who has made a treasury you like and say "hey, I think you should edit the treasury to kick out this person, but include me instead." Do you know what I mean?

If you want to create treasuries and be included in treasuries, there are lots of promotion teams on Etsy that offer treasury games.
