In need of some advice

Hi all,

I'm really in need of a critque, I've improved my shop a great deal. I've changed my tags and titles. Improved my photos and gave some detailed shots of my art so that viewers can see the amount of work and detail that goes into each painting. I've added lots of other products other then just prints. And I've also setup my about page, I know that could use 3 more pics but my studio looks like a trainwreck atm, since I've been preparing for 2 big conventions.

I'm not sure how it is for other people in more niche markets but some days out of the week my views are as low as zero or one, I do however get a lot of favorites from what views I do get. I haven't had a sale since the begining of July :(

Can anyone offer me some advice on how to up my views and just get a little more exposure?? Areas where my shop needs more improvement? Are my prices ok? Is my shipping too high? I've got a FB page, twitter, pinterest, wanelo, and a website. I'm just not understanding why my views and sales are so low.

Any and all help is so greatly apperciated and thanks for taking the time to help me out :)

Re: In need of some advice

Hi Sarah, your shop looks really good. You have a nice assortment of items at different price points, your titles, descriptions and tags look good and I think your shipping prices are reasonable. Make sure if something is a print that your title does not say "painting" .

I'm thinking you have not found your target audience yet - the few special people who want to collect your artwork and will keep buying it.

You said you have a Facebook page, but are you interacting with people on it? Asking them questions, posting interesting things about your process, pictures of you creating in your studio? You want to get people involved and excited about sharing your posts. That will help you get more followers. You can try Facebook ads to get more people to your Facebook page.

You might get your work into more treasuries if the watermark on the first picture is less noticeable. Treasuries get me lots of views.

Otherwise, if you just recently changed your titles and tags, it can take some time for things to pick up. Hopefully things will get better in the coming months.

Re: In need of some advice

Elaine - Thank you for the link! I will definitely go through that list

Janet -
Indeed I am trying to find that target audeince, I do know it takes time, but hopefully since I've added more items to my shop I will come up better in searches.

I do have a facebook page, I keep my interaction kinda midtone since the majority of my likes at this time is just family and friends, I don't want to over spam them. I post something interactive about every two days or so. I've created a lot of new products recently so I've had quite a bit to share on there, but I do mix it up so its not product spam (I hate that). Currently I'm holding a giveaway for an exclusive print to try and get some shares and likes from their friends, and a special thanks to everyone for supporting me.

I was wondering if I didn't need to move my watermark down for treasuries, so I will redo them so it does not show in the thumbnail. Because I love treasuries, I also enjoy making them as well!

Thank you for the advice you've given me!

Also my pinterest and wanelo haven't brought any views in for me. I'm still very new to twitter but it has brought a few views into my shop.
