Imperfect/experimental items
What do you do with imperfect or experimental items. I have been experimenting with making rings and some of them are less than what I would consider perfect. I'm hesitant to sell them, but I can't take them apart to re-use the components. Do you sell them as "seconds" or give them away? Any other ideas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

If someone wants them, I give them away. I also have some set aside to include in a destash listing of broken jewelry. Someone else might find a use!

I'm sure that you would want to be proud of the pieces you are selling so, if it was me, I certainly wouldn't be selling them. It's unfortunate that you can't take them apart but you did learn from making these imperfect pieces so it wasn't all in vain. I've considered giving away imperfect pieces but I decided against it because I don't want those pieces to be representative of my shop if someone asks about it.

I had a pendant that I stamped wrong. I listed it clearly stating the miss spelling and I sold it for 50% off.

I'd go the "destash" route in shop sections, put them at the end of your listings at a deep discount, and see what happens!

Being almost totally self taught, I have tons of items that I cannot sale. It can be a bummer to lose the cost of the supplies, but I have to believe it is through our mistakes that we stumble upon great ideas and products! (I hope) (:

Re: Imperfect/experimental items
My imperfect items either get taken apart (if I can reuse materials) or end up in the bin. I would never offer them for sale. I'm a perfectionist.
