I need your help using questions.

Hello everyone. :) I need help developing my descriptions with my items.

My main items consist of teddy bears & soap.

When viewing these items, what are some of the questions that pop in your head for this item (teddy bear or soap)?

Re: I need your help using questions.

Hi Amelia,

I noticed you had some knitted gloves listed, but they don't specify what size. Perhaps you could suggest a hand width the gloves will fit?

One other suggestion, albeit a really tiny one; being from Australia I'm not used to inches and ounces xD maybe you can also include converted units?

Otherwise your shop is looking great to me! :D

Re: I need your help using questions.

Hi Amelia,

I checked out the bears. Is it possible in the pictures to show the multiple sizes all in one picture or next to an item that is a comparable size, just for perspective sake. They are very cute. Good luck!

Re: I need your help using questions.

I have sensitive skin and so am cautious about trying new things. Are any of your soaps suitable for people like me? Some people these days are concerned about additives in beauty products - are your soaps free of any of these? These are questions I have, and including this info might draw certain types of shoppers to your shop.

Re: I need your help using questions.

For soaps, I'd want to know the ingredients. Are they glycerin soaps? Personally I don't buy any personal care products unless they are paraben and pthalate free, and preferably organic. Most scents, unless you use only essential oils for fragrance, contain pthalates.

Re: I need your help using questions.

Hi Amelia!

What a sweet shop you have! Cute bears and lovely soap!

As someone mentioned above about convertion from inches to cm, if you find it easier then why not put one photo of where you hold the bear in your hand, so from that view people can compare how big the bear actually is. The measurments do very little to myself actually.

As for the soap - myself being vegan and not seeing any ingredients on your description is a big turn off. It makes me thing you (might) use some dodgy materials, and as someone else mentioned, people buying handmade soaps mostly look out for those that are organic and contain natural ingredients. Seeing that you have nothing mentioned about it, I would click away from your shop in an instant. Check out the other soap sellers, some of them are very open and honest, even if that means showing all the ingredients and even those that are a little bit artificial (colourants etc).

I personally avoid bright coloured soaps as I know they contain colorants and if I buy HANDMADE soap, I expect it to be much better quality than the one available on high street. Your soaps are lovely, the photos are good but try adding more specific info on what's IN the soaps.

Also, if you have a good ingredient, you can mention what benefit it gives to the skin... It makes me think that this seller really knows what he/she is doing! Hope this helps and good luck!

Re: I need your help using questions.

I checked out a couple of your listings and these are the questions I cam up with-
Are your bears safe for infants/toddlers? (do they have anything on them that is a potential choking hazard?)
The soap listing I saw has weight, but maybe list the size too? And what is in the soaps make it special? Is there any ingredients in it that are good for particular skin types? Is it organic? Do you use essential oils? etc.
Hope that helps!

Re: I need your help using questions.

Okay. I've added the ingredients to my soaps, as well as stated the safety to my bears.

Re: I need your help using questions.

An improvement- however I looked at your description and it does not include fragrance, which they clearly have, and it appears they must have some dyes as well...ingredients that appear clearly incorrect will undermine trust as well...

LOL cracked me up when I read on you pizza soap description that the soap does not contain pizza. Still chuckling at that :)

Re: I need your help using questions.

@Sarah - Very true. I forgot to include the ingredients for the fragrances. Thank you for pointing that out. :)

I make it clear that the pizza, Mt. Dew, Root Beer, etc. are not made with the product they mimic. This is because from my experience at conventions, people seriously ask if all I did was add the grease or soda to the soap. lol

Re: I need your help using questions.

I was unable to retrieve the ingredients to the fragrance oils, it is okay to just say, "made with fragrance oil"?

As for the colorants, I use non-bleeding colorants that only list, "glycerin, [insert color here] iron oxide" as their ingredients.
