I'm curious what you think.

Daily my reports from Google and Etsy have listed under keywords the words hot, pink, clutch and purse. The words may have one word missing or in a different order but always the same words day after day. From that I am led to believe that there must be a lot of interest there from different people. Yet, it does not sell. I understand all the bad time, etc. There are still people selling so there must be something that I am missing. Can you help me get this purse sold by telling me what you would do to tweaking this a bit. The price? The pic? What?

It's a beautiful clutch and the photo and price are great. It may be as simple as a buyer not wanting the Chinese fabric and tassel. If you mentioned the type of fabric and other details in your listing then someone searching for that specific look will be happy to snap it up.

I mean mention the details in the Title of your listing, as well as the Tags.

I just did a search under Handmade for 'pink clutch' and there were over 6600 listings. A search for 'pink clutch chinese brocade' turned up 10 listings. You would definitely stand out in the second search.

I've been on Etsy for a little under a year and I do know that it's SOOO big that I can't depend on search to be found. There has been a jump in views for me since The Change, but I've also been working harder on advertising outside of Etsy We'll se how this all plays out :~/

My fave photo of this pink purse is the one with the black background.

The other shots appear to be on a sheet....I would change that myself.
The window shot is nice but no connection with the purse.

Are these handmade by you? That would be a plus to state.

This pink bag, to me, looks as if it is an evening bag that could be put into a setting that will enhance it. ei, a tall vase of a few flowers, a fancy table cloth, etc.....A nite out for a romantic dinner, etc.....

What does the inside of your purse look like....

I think it is just your photos....So many great shots can be taken with this purse.

The first advice should help your Google search results too. Any time you can get more specific, do it! :) you want to make sure you're attracting the people who want to buy your product, not just people who want to buy a hot pink purse... b/c they might want patent leather, or suede or somehting rather than your beautiful Chinese pattern.

This won't help with your search, but I would love to see a photo of the inside of the clutch. That might help clarify what you mean by this: "The inside is quilted in a free motion meandering stitching on the tea died muslin which includes a pocket"

I think I can figure out what this means... but you could stand to be a little clearer and show a picture just to be sure. I might also show a picture of someone in a stylish outfit holding the purse since I have a hard time imagining what 4" x 7" would feel/look like. Hope that helps! :)

This whole thing just strikes me as very strange. I just didn't think that there would be that many people looking for a hot pink clutch purse.

hahaha!!! You wanna know how many requests I've had for rubber duckies on a purse? Or how about TWO different requests from people in two different regions for Tupac shakur??? You'd be surprised to find what people are looking for out there. Aren't you glad your hot pink purse is one of them?!?!?! :D

Personally, I'd call that shade of pink 'fuchsia'. Maybe that simple change would get the right people looking at your listing? Colour is very subjective though.

I agree about the white fabric. An exotic fabric needs a stronger background perhaps. I like to keep things very simple in photography, but maybe for your pink purse I'd use a dark background with maybe a prop .. something relevant; chopsticks, a small pot of bamboo, an orchid in a clear glass jar. Don't clutter it though - keep it to one simple thing.
