I like July!

I have no idea what happened... maybe it has something to do with re-arranging and re-tagging my items with better tags... or maybe joining Twitter... or dropping off more business cards around town.... but I've had a sale every day for the last 5 days and tons of people asking about custom stuff! It's nice to see hard work paying off sometimes...
Anyone else having a good start to the month? If so, have you done new things to your shop and networking? :)

Congrats to you! I haven't quite had that much business lately, but it's definitely been busier than May and June for me. I can't really account for it, though. I've been doing pretty much the same as I always do! I guess people all-of-a-sudden want knits? :)

Not a good start to the month, but based on the last few years I'm anticipating a good end to the month. I look forward to July the entire slow summer!

I'm with you! If I average it out I have had a sale for every day of the month so far.

I dont think I've done anything really different. Always trying to add more items and keep up with stock levels. Maybe the fact I was featured on the FP at one helped

I am liking July ok too. I have had 4 sales so far which isnt a bad start as long as it continues.

Yes 4 sales when the month started but now it is kinda slow.... hope it picks up again...

Well I opened my shop in Jan and I have 6 sales. At the end of June I was starting to get a little discouraged but I got 2 of those sales in the last week so I feel encouraged. I do a lot of promoting and I thought that I'd have more sales by now. I've changed a few things with my banner and introduction so maybe that's why. I'm trying to capture what it is about my books that is special but it's hard to capture that if people just have a quick glance and leave thinking they are just more kids story books when they are not. Well I'm hoping my changes have made a difference and that I will continue with more sales. Thanks for reading. I wanted to share this weeks success so far. Have a great day everyone! Susan

I have been loving July! I was out of town for a few days and had 2 sales when I got back plus 2 sales before I left!!

I'm right there with you! This month has been AMAZING so far! I am blown away, because I set a very low goal in terms of sales (Still set it for one more than last month) and I am only a couple of sales away from reaching it, and it is only the 7th! Holy moly!!!! Lets hope the entire month stays this way! :)

so far july has been slow :( i just dont know where to find the time to fix and tweak things...and i try to network and cross promote ect ....but i seem to make my sales on sundays and mondays...so we'll see

Thats great. July has been really slow. Haven't had a sale yet. April and May I was getting a sale every 4 days or so, June was slow only 4 sales but I was out of town for most of it. Hoping this month picks up a bit. Doing a Christmas in July sale, so hopefully we get some sales out of that :/

So far I've sold 4 items (my best month since opening in January was 5 sales in May). At the end of June, I renewed a few items that were going to expire. This month I listed a bunch of new items and renewed a few more. I also have my blogs up and running and joined a blogging network. Nothing else out of the ordinary... oh, my listings are now hovering right around the 50 mark, and I feel like I've gotten good views lately (may be because of that, but I'm not sure).

July has been nice to me, as well! Maybe because it was my birthday on the 5th and the universe could feel me, lol. I've had several custom orders on etsy (including 7 bridesmaids gifts!) and a good size order off etsy. I had really low expectations for this month from what I've been hearing, but so far, so good :)
