Mark of Gator Creek Galleries,
I have been an Etsy buyer since the beginning of 2009. I also just opened a shop in April of this year.
I have one explanation - there may be more. Sometimes I mark a shop as favorite to check their items more carefully at a later time or date. When I have some time, I go back and check it out in more detail. If I find that I will not be needing or wanting anything from that shop in the near future, I just un-favorite it. It has nothing to do with the shop itself, is more like trying to keep my lists in line. I used to have dozens and dozens of favorite shops to the point that when I needed something closely related to my business, I could not find it. That is when I decided to be more diligent and keep my lists down in numbers.
I do the same when I favorite items. To me, my favorites are just place holders until I make up my mind a to which of the items I will buy. When that is done, I delete all the other related favorites.
Now that I am a shop owner, I favorite other shops and items (through my shop account) because I understand the value of networking and I want others to see the items that other vendors offer.
So you see, it has nothing to do with the shop or shop owner personally. Do not even give it a second thought.
Once that is said, I like your shop very much (I have two grown sons and you have good manly items) and I will favorite it, through my shop, permanently.
Good luck to everybody.
