...I've only just discovered the 'featured item' tool in my shop! For some reason I thought you had to pay for this and didn't realise all you had to do was star the items I want to feature.

I feel very silly and have gone to the back of the class...

When I started here I was so about trying to find promotional tools within etsy, I just saw the word "promote" and "featured item" and instinctively clicked on them XD Had I not been searching, I'd probably have been in the same boat as you!

I still keep finding new things to play with on Etsy. Part of me wishes I hadn't found shop stats though - I check them far too much to be healthy! It took me a while to work out what a treasury was for and how to make one as well. I'm just a bit slow on the uptake!

Lol don't feel bad. I didn't know about it for quite some time either, and I actually had to ask people to tell me how to do it. At least you found it on your own :)

Shops stats are taking up too much of my time. What good is it to keep looking at them? I tell myself they are what they are and when I get a sale I know I must have had views. But alas everytime I see my computer I have to check. Same with feedback. I look at feedback because it lets me know my customer received the item and they liked it. Then I can give a thankful sign and go on with my life.

My dumpling moment was after a sale I would use the 'contact' link and let the buyer know their item was taken to the post office that day. Well, lo and behold, that is what the 'add shipping notification' button is in your sold information. I was making it way too hard. Just as extra info you can save your shipping notification info and use the same note for the next buyer - just changing the name and the item if needed.

lol I experienced loads of those "dumpling moment" Make me feel like a genius when I discover new features. Which folks have been using it since the... beginning of Etsy.

I used to jot down, what to renew next (after being sold). Just 3 weeks ago, I noticed Etsy keeps one updated with "renew sold" link. I only have to move through the sold orders to see what need renewing. Oh wow we are all genius...
