I can take it!!1

I have tried so many different things, taks, titles rearranging. What can I do to get my first sale. Are my policies alright? I don't know. Today I have had fewer visitors than ever. Any advice would be of help.

I think your artwork is beautiful... I would say feature 4 items...the top of your page looks a bit unbalanced.

also, list more things if you can ...perhaps cards of your paintings in sets or something like that!

join teams, add lots of people to your circle...it gets you known!
twitter and facebook help!

I ran a couple of private sales through Etsy in the beginning in order to have some sales showing (it's worth paying the fees for them)

hope that helps, just keep trucking!!

Love your work. It's frustrating to wait for visitors I know , I have no sales but the # of visitors started to increase lately.

Need a bit of activity, add people in your circle, join teams etc.

Good luck and God bless!

Your paintings are beautiful!
It takes time to get noticed some things you can do~
listing more, making sure your tags are good, join teams and circles, and make treasuries.

Good luck!

Re: I can take it!!1

You are selling romantic and nostalgic prints. Maybe you should use these words as tags?

2.adding more circles
3do another treasury
4 add romantic and nostalgic prints to tags
5 will have a sale after i list my 4th sports print

Re: I can take it!!1

In addition to the above advice, which I think is excellent, I would ditch any title with "boys room" in it. All I can think of is the boys lavatory and I'm sure that's not what you're talking about. Sorry.

I think the idea of printing you art on cards is a great way to bring in customers! Your artwork would be lovely on some nice cardstock. Check around other shops for ideas as to how to sell them.

Re: I can take it!!1

You've only been open about ten or eleven days now, I would be a bit more patient. It's hard to be found at first! Most users don't make any sales their first month, so don't feel like you're failing!

I wouldn't even worry about having a sale/discount this early on. Just focus on getting your shop out there. Work on SEO, tag, titles, social networking. Etsy has a lot of great articles on all of those. Focus on getting your shop seen before you start discounting your prices. It might look like you're clearing out your shop to close because you have so few items (and now they're on sale?)

Did that make any sense? I think adding items as you can and getting your shop out there are the best things to work on. Do sales/discounts or hand out coupon codes to great customers who gave you big orders or when you make 50 sales or it's a holiday :)

I'm an artist as well although I only show my embroidered work on etsy. A great way to sell cards are in packs of five or ten, then price accordingly. I love your work! Don't give up. :-)
