Direct checkout and Etsy shipping have immensely simplified my life! It is such a streamlined process now and I love not having to go back and forth with PayPal and shipping notifications.

Has everyone else received the same satisfaction with these added features?

I like it but, I am not sure it is as completely economical as paypal. I have heard you can get a discount on shipping from paypal, not etsy. Just little things like that. BUT...correct me if I am wrong.

Agree......it wouldn't let me print first time i went to try it. Said my balance was to high, checked balance...was 0.80 cents. Ya.
Went back to stamps.com ....cheaper anyway.

I did run into that recently...having to pay my Etsy fee before printing more labels. Is stamps.com much cheaper, Breanna?

Love the shipping labels, but like others hate having to pay a bill that isn't even outstanding before I ship. I get if you're outstanding but if I'm still current why treat me like I'm a dead beat or something.

Other than that I like DC.

I agree, I had one day I sold several items and they relisted so of course my balance jumped. Had to pay before I could print the labels for the items I just sold. Yuck!
But I do love being able to print international labels with the customs form right on the computer. sweeeet and I swear my customer got it quicker than usual because of that.

I ship things old school because I don't currently have a printer (it's on the top of the list of things I need for my shop tho!) but I do love the Direct Checkout feature because it's convenient for my customers. Since I got it I've been getting more sales with DC than with PayPal.

I don't ship, but DC is fabulous and rapidly became my favorite. It's so much easier to keep track of everything; I like Paypal but I find their site a bit time-consuming when it comes to looking at older transactions and the like.

I use both, Debora - I asked in the business forum a while back what people prefer and there are many who still prefer to use PP for buying.

Yep, they're about the same. Up to about $50 DC fees are slightly less than Paypal's; from $50 upwards, Paypal's are slightly less.

DC charges 3% plus $0.25. Within the US Paypal charges 2.9% plus $0.30. However, Paypal charges more for international sales (3.9%) whereas DC doesn't.

I dont understand if it is inconvenient to pay shipping charges ( etsy bill) multiple times how did you pay before I know for me I have to pay for my shipping postage
before I ship every time. I have stamps.com is there a way to ship without paying multiple times?

I love direct checkout!!!! I actually haven't had a single sale through Paypal since it started. I've heard a lot of people saying that they didn't buy from etsy because they did not have and did not want a Paypal account . So i'm happy to tell them that they don't have to worry about that anymore.
