Huh?

I just got an order (finally!) but the girl who bought the earrings sent me a message with her order (large half sphere faux pearl earrings) saying "I would like it bright white, it looks beige in the photos." ??? I can't change what they look like?

Re: Huh?

If you can't make the order that way - just politely explain that. Sales will come.

Re: Huh?

Is there a way to brighten up faux pearls that I don't know about?

Re: Huh?

I just did a little search... I don't know if there is. Maybe clean them and se if that brightens them up? Otherwise it looks like they are just going to be that color.
It's too bad she didn't ask before buying?

Re: Huh?

In your item description did you say they were beige or white?

If she wanted white, I assume she would buy them white, especially faux pearls (normally ivory color).

If she wants white, and those are not white, you should convo her and let her know that the pearls are beige, ivory, or whatever color they are.

Re: Huh?

I just found it odd that she wouldn't ask first before buying. I thought all faux pearls were somewhat of an ivory color, not white.

Re: Huh?

That IS odd. I guess you just need to convo her and let her know. As for the faux pearls, you can get bright white Swarovski pearls very reasonably priced. Here's a necklace I made using them:

Re: Huh?

Like Christine said, you can get white pearls; just let her know you don't have any in stock. If you want to get some, tell her it will take x number of days to make the new item, etc. I've had people order things before too assuming I have a certain variation of my items - i.e. different colored flowers than the ones listed.

Re: Huh?

Hm. They were actually vintage buttons that I made into earrings, so that's why it confused me even more. It's not like they're pearls that I can just whip one up. But everything is fine, she said she'd order them anyway (phew!). Thank you all for your help! I love this forum.

Re: Huh?

Glad to hear it worked out. Etsy buyers are usually pretty accommodating if you let them know what's up.
Here's to lots more less confusing sales!

Re: Huh?

Faux pearls can come in all kinds of colos. Swarovski makes gorgeous crystal pearls in a large range of colors.
