How was your business in January?

I was doing well in Dec last year and I thought my luck will bring forward to the new year.

Well.. finally I only got 10 sales in January. How about you?

I put all of my effort on my store since 1st of January until today. I listed about 82 items during this month only and that helped increase my viewers a lot. I created three treasuries and joined 61 teams. Now that I look back at all of that I feel that I did such an accomplishment :D

It's become my second best month ever! This month marks one full year on Etsy, and I am thrilled with how January has been for me.

I've had my highest views ever, second highest favorites ever [barely behind March when my Bailey's chocolate truffles were in a FP treasury in the middle of a Friday afternoon the week before Valentine's Day], and second highest orders and revenue ever [only behind April when I sold 29 items in 24 hours for a 28% off sale for my 28th birthday]!

I also listed 12 new items this month, and half have sold at least once [and a few have sold over 10 times each!].

It has been my best month! I can't complain, but I haven't had a sale in 4 days and I am going through withdrawals :) Using the time to work more on SEO.

This December was the best ever since 2008 and so far this month (even though its the last day) for sales has passed the holiday sales mid month.

A busy time, I need to take a few days to do some cleaning up around the shop and our listings.

Oh my god, mine has been the best yet in my LillyQueenVintage history!
I made more sales than December and December was crazy for me!

Ive gotten put into TONS of treasuries.
Tons of views
Tons of favorites...

And a bunch of sales - 28 orders which to me is a lot. Thats almost one order per day - and most of the orders are for multiple items.

Once I fixed my pictures my shop TOOK OFF!

Last month we had 298 orders.
This month we have 704 orders and the day isn't done yet!

I did good in December, and OK in January. Could be better, but it's always could be better haha! Have to look at the bright side, I'm still selling and my numbers are all going up. It will be great to look back one day on it as art(sy), business, fashion, diy tales.

Just opened January 2nd and have had 10 orders!! I would have been happy with one :)

I don't have near a quarter of my inventory listed, so I am excited to see what happens!!!

I opened January 9th, started out getting 40+ views a day, then dropped to about 10, but I've made [my first ever!] 3 orders this week and I'm up to 60+ views a day, so I'm content! Much better than I was hoping for, and I've found an incredible love for custom orders! Still adding more stuff daily, so it's been fun!

Actually it has been a pretty good month considering I was away in sunny Mexico for a week. I can't complain. Lots of work to do in Feb but we also just got a puppy who seems to want all my attention! I need to work on my seo and try and improve views.

Nothing like November and December, but I had a very respectable 30 sales for the month. I am happy for a couple of reasons:

1. I had no idea what January would be like after a very busy holiday season.
2. I raised my prices on January 1st and I wasn't sure how that would go over.

Hi Jessie! Great thread. After the Christmas rush period I was really worried about January and wondered how I could keep the interest up in my shop. I was very quick to add our Valentine's Day Card range. I think this has really helped me.

January has since been my most popular month by far. I only opened in September last year and so far the traffic and sales to my shop this month has outweighed all of last years! I feel so lucky.

I have increased my level of team involvement and continually try to update my Facebook Page etc.

I am already looking ahead at what I can create for Easter.

I was on a steady growth path until November and December, so my January is slowly getting me back to where I was before my slump. It's not a stellar month for me, but it IS definitely better than last month.

I'm still trying to get all of my new packages listed, so hopefully the growth will return.

This was my best month to date! Quadrupled my views and favorites, and increased the total number of sales and revenue as well! (Though not quadrupled, ha) I have really started to work on my shop this month (SEO, photos, regularly adding more listings, promoting on and off Etsy, joined 4 teams - including this one -, made my first treasury, etc), so there is an obvious reason why it has been my best month.
