How to ...

... keep up with t trend?

There are some trendy items that I know of. For example, owls have been a trend for a while. My owls paper goods keep on appearing on search a lot. Almost daily. The second item is the nautical designs. My nautical paper goods are my first searched items. But I'm wondering, how can I keep up with the trends? Are there some websites that help point out what the trend is?

I use Etsy Finds Newsletter Email. it's sent a couple times a week. Pinterest is also great. Search under the categories what's new, or most searched. On Etsy's Home Page there is a category called Trending Now that can also be helpful. Good Luck! :)

Re: How to ...

If you want to 'keep up with the trends' then you need to be planning about 6 months in advance .

For colour trends there is Pantone, and I'm sure that there are style trends sites as well.

Owls have been 'trendy' now for about 20 years.

But rather than try to be on top of the trends, why not instead find your niche and stay there? There are so many people trying to catch the 'trend' but if you have a niche product then you will always have customers.

just my 2 cents.

Re: How to ...

@Tracey Kleiman: I did check out the trending category and it was awesome. I don't how why I don't always check it out even though it's right there! Pinterest is an amazing website and it does help a lot. Thank you for your advice.

@crochetgal: How can I plan 6 months in advance if I don't know what the trend will be? I checked out the colour pantone about 2 months ago and created few digital papers according to it. And about the niche market, I've been trying to reach it long time ago but I don't think I did it right, though. Thank you for your advice.
