How to list...

Right now i only have one item in my shop. I am about to add another item that has 28 color options. Should I make a listing for each color, or should I do one listing with the color drop down menu and then do multiple listings of that? I am stuck on this one. Any other ideas are welcome too. I will be adding more items in the future.

Re: How to list...

Will you have a picture of the colors available... sometimes people like to see the color as opposed to just reading the color... there are many shades of green, pink, etc... know what I mean?

Re: How to list...

Personally I would do one listing as long as you have a picture in the listing with every color option available.

Re: How to list...

List as many as possible. This gives you shop more chances of being found. Each listing has to have a title, description, and tags that help you get found. If there is one listing for all those colors, you can't title, describe, and tag the item with color words. Color words are popular especially in Home Decor items. It will take time to creat all the listings, but it's a goal to work towards. Or you can do something in between. Maybe have one listing, pinks and purples, another listing blues and greens, and another in browns and blacks. Just an example of course.

Re: How to list...

I agree with Jenni. If you already had 50-100 items in your shop, it might make sense to condense and have a single listing, but as a new shop, it would help you to make as many listings as possible. It will not only give you more chances to be found and be in treasuries, but you'll also learn more about your customers. You'll be able to learn more quickly what the popular colors are by seeing what colors pop up most often in your search results. That will help you create future products in colors that are more likely to sell.

Re: How to list...

Do you have pictures of the items in all the colors.

Only do listings for the colors you have photo's of. If you don't actually have the item made in all the colors, do the variations.

A listing for say a blue dress with a picture of a red dress is confusing.

Re: How to list...

I just looked at the item you do have listed. If I were to buy it, I would be interested in seeing how the back was finished...

Re: How to list...

Thanks I need to take more pictures of that one, I am waiting for sunshine :) I have one listing for the item with lots of colors, realized that when I posted it my first picture is on the dark side, so hopefully in the next couple of days the sun will come out.
