How to improve your photos cheaply, quickly, and easily!

I just made a suuuper easy lightbox and cheap! Something we can all appreciate, right?! I love having a light box because it means I get a natural daylight look without being at the mercy of the sun. I can photograph at any time, anywhere.

There are a lot of tutorials out there, but I like this one the best because there are excellent photos guiding you through the whole process and the instructions are so charming, along with the photo illustrations. They're cat is in just about every phase of the process, so typical of a cat to insert themselves into whatever you're working on : )

Here's the link-

Good luck! You can do it!

you did amazingly! Congratulations! I've been thinking about making a lightbox myself, but I just haven't had the time or the space. Plus I have 3 kitties, so the process may take me longer than if I only had 1 kitty! :)

Re: How to improve your photos cheaply, quickly, and easily!

I too made a lightbox, so much fun! Personally, I have found taking photos near the window to be easier. The lighting I had to use with my lightbox was just not bright enough.

I did find something online that was really useful - PHOTOSHOP for FREE! If you go to Photoshop's official website, they have an online version you can utilize for free. It doesn't have all of the extras, but it lightens up your pics BEAUTIFULLY, and white balances them! That is sometimes all you need to improve your photos in a big way.

I hope you enjoy this little tidbit!

Re: How to improve your photos cheaply, quickly, and easily!

To help increase the lighting, I use a white foam core board against the opening I'm not shooting from, but I'm also considering getting a third clamp lamp and light. I've also heard that some people where white when photographing their products too.

INVEST in a good set of light bulbs too! I just bought a pair of LED lightbulbs (LED bulbs stay cooler and I sweat buckets when photographing!) for $30 and they're worth every penny. Most light bulbs, even if they say full spectrum or daylight, still read yellow. These are the lightbulbs I bought from Home Depot -
