How to i start selling?

I have opened my shop about a week ago, and wanted to ask how do i start the selling engine? do i just wait for people to buy?, is there anything i can do to make it happen? i made some opening sales, and free shipping items, but it doesn't seem to help. i know my photos are not great and will improve them soon, is there something i can do in addition? what did you do when you opened your shop? how do you started the selling engine?

I opened my shop with only one item, forget about Etsy and after two weeks I received email that someone has bought my silk tie! I still have no idea, how it could happen, because 2 years after that I am trying so hard to make my shop better and better, but.. together I have had 3 sales only :(
I believe that here is some kind of mistery around Etsy and me :)

I need to say that I am bad example :) Here are some shops who had their first sales already in first and second day. So I believe that's the way we should move to ;)

I've been open about 2 and a half months with no online sale. However, it has gotten exposure to my friends and family and I've sold several things outside of Etsy. I'll let you know when I find the "magic method"!

I can't really see your jewelry you might want a good up-close shot of what these charms are. I don't think if I found you I would buy till I could see the item closer to get a good feel of it. Other then that post in teams advertise on Facebook and Pinterest and wait GOOD LUCK

Bright, crisp pictures would help, as well as updating tags. Try to use short, descriptive phrases and avoid words like "gift". There are over 1.8 million items that come up in a search for "gift" on Etsy, so it's not likely you're going to be found.
