How to get more sales?

I've been improving my photos, titles, tags, everyday I'm pasting hundreds links to pinterest, wanelo, twitter, teams etc.
What else I can do to get more sales?
How long does is it takes to get constants sales on Etsy?
Help please :)

I would like to know this too.. I spend HOURS per day promoting, on Etsy, FB, twitter, Wanelo, EVERYWHERE! I think I'm addicted actually, but I want to know if I am wasting my time here.

Hello, it took me 6 months to start making sales, (more than 1) but almost 2 years to start having regular sales and make a profit. I would say it took promoting, finding that one thing that drives people to your shop and reaching out to blogs. I was mentioned today in a blog I follow.

Keep at it, FB, Wanelo, Pinterest, all those things drive folks ro your shop. I also do smaller items for my local area craft sales. I try and re list or add something new every day. Good luck and sometimes it takes time.

It took us about a year to see steady sales. Yes, one year! It is still a daily process of constant promotion but its totally worth it when you see that sale in the stat box. I agree with Melissa, its sort of finding that one type of product that appeals to a lot of folks. For example, we found that when we use a certain type of block letter on our tees, the sales follow. Some tees don't sell! Its a daily learning process. We are going to keep at it and hope it really takes off one day! We believe in etsy:)

And by the way Marianna, I LOVE your ring section. Your photos are super cohesive and clear. I think sales will come your way if you keep at it.

@Jen-You have a wonderful variety in your shop. I think if you keep up with the constant promotion there is no way you won't have more sales!

I started listing items in September. What I've found is that the more you list - and the more you FILL your shop - the more you'll sell. It can build momentum naturally. Definitely use social media and such, because it will bring new eyes to your shop. Just keep creating. Your items are beautiful!

My approach is not to create based on what I think will sell. I want to love what I'm creating, so I'm creating what I love. I figure if I love it, someone else out there in the vast sea of people surely must love it, too! And, maybe they will either a) not like to create it or b) not know how to create it. In either case, here I am, ready to give them what they love! :)

I was a lot busier this time last year and I did zero promotion, did not have facebook or twitter or anything..selling an item here is down to one thing: luck.. nothing else

Hi marianna, I am glad that someone is in the same boat as me. Your pictures are really clear and look really good, so i think you are on to a winner there. I opened my etsy shop in October but only started listing items properly since the new year. It's so disheartening having 0 sales. I have previously sold in bricks and mortar shops and done really well. I have loads more items to list, but am not sure if I am wasting time, my Facebook account is quite new so only have friends following at the moment.
Please help!

hei Marianna, you should work on improving your titles and tags before anything else right now. Spamming links in teams will not give you much at all (are other Etsy sellers your main target market? doubtful), good SEO will.

Titles need to contain the most important keywords first.
"Fuchsia Pink Dangle Agate Earrings Sterling Silver Silversmithed Metalsmithed" - clearly, "fuchsia pink dangle" is not the most important about these earrings.
Tags need to be PHRASES that customers might search. One word tags are no good. Tags need to repeat the same keywords that title contains.

I would also check how other jewelry sellers in your price bracket present their items. You're trying to conquer a higher price bracket market, so your photos and descriptions need to really show WHY your items are much higher quality and worth more.

A nicely put together About page showing your studio and work in process might help with this. Bringing your photos to a higher level - they currently are good, but again, price bracket demands professional, boutique look.

The more you list the better chance of being found. Someone else said it best, it comes down to luck (after titles, tags, SEO, pictures etc are all good). The right customer has to find you at the right time.

The Etsy Treasury page has the top trending tags of the day. I think it's a good idea to try and include any and all of those tags that apply! Sales are slow for me right now, but it's certainly helped my views a bit!
