How to find Craft shows in the area?

How do I find about all the craft shows in a certain location?

Right now I hear of only the big ones. I would like to have my 1st stall in a smaller craft show, so that i get to know what it actually involves.
What are the resources I should check?

Have you checked with the local Chamber of Commerce? Watched the local papers? Checked with the local school boards?

Another good resource is to chat with your local network. Friends and coworkers are usually more than happy to let you know what they hear.

Another great resource is to attend a few festivals as a buyer and talk to the vendors. Ask the promoter to be put on their mailing list.
