How to add expedited shipping charge? Help!

Can't find this in Help section or in Forum posts....

Customer ordered item today Wednesday evening the 13th, needs by Saturday the 15th. Advised her the only guarantee is Express Delivery. She is willing to pay the upcharge but I don't know how to bill her.

Anybody know how?

Send her a Paypal invoice for the extra cost. Since Etsy doesn't charge a fee for shipping it won't be considered fee avoidance.

Anybody else? I need to convo her back tonight....so that I can stay up all night making the custom order!

list the special charge in your shop as a special order for your customer--the cost is .20, not bad for a happy customer and her purchase.

You can send a Paypal invoice even if she doesn't have a Paypal account. All you need is her email address and she can pay it with her credit card.

Bev, I think that's against Etsy's TOS - better to send a PayPal invoice. Or, if the customer tells you ahead of time he or she wants expedited shipping, I just set up a custom listing for them with the new shipping charge included instead of the old one.
