How to: Self promotion!

I am looking for ideas for self promotion!

So far I use flickr, but I can't seem to get my contacts to follow me though to Etsy and I have a facebook page, but I don't know how to get follows there!

How do you self-promote? What works best?

I basically use etsy teams.

I have a pinterest account, but don't think that gets myself views, as far as I can tell. My more popular pins are generally pins of other etsians items.

I don't wish to do FB, twitter, or wanelo, so I'm doing the best I can with what I have.

Etsycontest.com is fun, but is more like a game than promotion.....

I have the same questions, You read on threads to promote your shop but if you don't have a lot of followers on face book how do you do this.

Seems like I get more views when I list things on wanelo. Actually my daughter puts them on for me because I think she has more people following her on there then I would.

FB is easy...be interesting. Lots and LOTs of photos(people no like to read) and cute memes n puppies dont hurt.

In part by focused FB ads, contests once a month or so, and lot and lots of cute pics folks wanna share :)

Even by meeting people and telling them what you do is self-promotion. Wearing / using your products so others can see helps too. There are shops / coffee shops that wouldln't mind if you leave your business cards - best to ask first ;) Participating in Forums is helpful and you learn so much...
