How to Keep Yourself Innovative and Creative ?

Most seller must be know to keep their shop live, they must be innovative all time.

I want to know what are you doing to keeping you creative :)

Do a lot of research!!! I follow blogs about Marketing Small Business, view FB pages websides etc from other sellers, what do they do to get all the sales and views. Look at art, paintings, nature, go to museums, watch movies, listen to music. Listen to customers!!! Read fashion blogs and magazines to keep up to date of the trends and styles. I know that if I stay in my studio at home, my inspiration will drop, going out and read and watch and use all my senses helps my right side brain. I am a very visual learner, like probably a lot of people who are sellers and creators, that's how I learn and think, and do:) Love Pinterest for that reason.

I do my own pinterest on paper. I get all the articles or pictures I like in magazines and stick them in my special journal. I filled quite a few journals that way, and it's always a pleasure to go through them again when you're feeling stuck.
It seems like a lot of work but a few evenings watching tv or listening to a radio program is enough to fill a lot of pages! And it's soo addictive.

I keep a sketchbook and add things that inspire me - which could be anything and at anytime. And as Raphaela says - go back and get ideas from your musing.
It helps to look in the shop windows and see whats on trend at the moment.

burn incense or heat oils that smell AMAZING in my studio. being happy is the best inspiration there is. :)

If I feel stuck or find it hard to get inspired, I just take a day or two off of what I do. I might just stay home and bake or go to flee markets or the library. Just let my mind take a break of the creative process. I found a solution to my problem in my dreams many times, after I just let go of the problem and let the answer come to me.

I don't read many fashion blogs, but I loove to watch pictures of vintage clothing and old movies or read books about vintage fashions. That really inspires me. I also just enjoy looking at people on the streets and how they dress up.

I also do couple shifts a month at a coffee/gift shop and having spend a day or two in there I get more stamina to work on my own stuff again.

What I'm trying to say, I guess is, do something completely different at times. Give your brain something else to chew on, you might find inspiration in the most surprising things :)
