Join treasury teams, mainly! That's what's worked for me. I've been on the front page five or six times in the past couple of months. (Alas, it hasn't translated into sales! But I've gotten a lot of views and favorites.)

I just take really good clean photos and use colour & seasonal tags etc. in my keywords. It's been just over a year though since I last got on the front page but I get on to quite a few treasuries.

To answer your question - my favorite is the EST spirit thread in the European Street Team, but that only works if you're in Europe, lol. I'm also in the Creative Triangle, Oh La La and Star teams. They're all invitation-only, but you can apply. I know I've had an Oh La La fp.

I've been on the fp a few times, and it is Not a big deal. My things sold, then it was over.

Hitting on a few trends will get you into treasuries, which will get you on the fp.

I don't think it is worthwhile to expend much time and effort into trying to get there.

Alex, to me my things selling would be a big deal. And it's more than an hour if you get on a non-US fp.

I don't necessarily think you HAVE to make an effort and put time into getting on the fp, but if you do enjoy making treasuries - and I do - it's worthwhile enough.

But spending time on that and spending time on treasuries aren't mutually exclusive...? I mean, I've been tweaking my SEO all week and am going to continue to do that. And I'm going to be listing note cards with my photos on them. And I'm still on treasury teams.

Those that are consistently on the FP appear in hundreds and hundreds of treasuries. They make hundreds of treasuries and belong to multiple treasury teams.
Being on the FP can bring views and sales, but it takes a lot of effort to get there consistently.
I gave up on the whole idea a couple of months ago. I was only making 30 treasuries a month, but I got burned out doing that. For me, it is not worth the time. I would rather spend it sewing or walking the dog.

Well that explains the items that are on HUNDREDS of treasuries....I never understood that! Shops with just a dozen items, each item on 300+ treasuries plus that "This Item Made It To The Front Page on Etsy!" sticker.

Some people are on hundreds of treasuries without being on any treasury teams. They're just widely known and lots of people have favorited the item at one point or another, so they'll likely pull it from their favorites when making treasuries. It's not a conspiracy.
